I got Windows 10 Enterprise edition instead. And now, I get an email from the date of purchase like normal, but there is no product key included and I already had a product key for Windows 10 Home edition and I can’t use my current product key to re-activate Windows 10 for the Enterprise edition. I get an error message in the activation window saying:. We can’t activate Windows on this device as we can’t connect to your organization’s activation server.

Hello I am an Independent Advisor here to help. I know that this situation is frustrating. This type of error is cause when Windows was activated using a Volume License Key. In order to continue using this key the computer needs to be connected to a corporate server so that the KMS server can update the lease on the key for that computer.
To resolve this issue you will need to move the computer out of the volume licensing channel as follows Open an elevated command prompt type cmd.

I downgraded back to Windows 10 Home since I’m not comfortable trying to get Windows 10 Pro to work properly, but maybe I will install it again and this time, I’ll downgrade from Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 10 Pro edition. It wasn’t too hard actually to figure out. I’ll have to re-install Windows 10 Pro even though it will go back to Windows 10 Enterprise, but now I know to downgrade back to Windows 10 Pro using that same method you just mentioned. Mike, as I said this is due to nothing you did wrong.
If you bought the Pro Upgrade then you are entitled to it. You can try another method to apply the Upgrade to use the Pro license that you bought.
No, if you want to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, use the diagnostics key.
