Com which is now on LinkedIn. This was an expensive book and there is no way to get my money back. I got the support material for this book and it does not even bring it into the discussion or use it to instruct in the text sections. I can’t imagine how an instructor can use the support material unless they develop their own detailed plans on the use of this material.
Very weak on using the support material. I gave it a 2 star for clear explanation of the Final Cut Pro X offerings. Support video was not used in the book to illustrate the features of any of the chapters and sections.
You need to slowly read and practice everything in this book. The software is huge and complex and the book is only the beginning. It is good as a reference too, when you don’t remember something. After you feel comfortable using the FCPX, a logical next step is to learn some advanced editing options, which the book does not offer.
Excellent and instructive. Comprehensive yet clear and easy to understand. The fact that this author is a pro and using Final Cut Pro X in the field is a plus as well. Lots of photographs. Highly recommended. This is a very well written book, but for a newbie like me, I find it hard to find how to do things. I’m a new Final Cut Pro X user, and have never done any video editing. This book is well written, easy to read, flows logically, and has loads of insight.
It has all the detail necessary for the reader to become an expert user, so it’s not just for a new user. I will end up reading the entire book because it’s written in a style that keeps the reader engaged. Highly recommend. One person found this helpful.
