Actually tracked how many hours I played in it on my first full run through on the Xbox versoin. Over hours in total after all the DLC. It is said that the add on content will work in the VR version if you twiddle things around a bit.

I shall see. This game is very much ‘sandbox’. There is a full fledged game in there, but you don’t have to go play it that part of the game in a specifically linear order, or at specific times.

Just go play around. Have fun doing what it has and exploring. Add-on community made modifications MODs help keep the game fresh and alter it even more with things the original developers didn’t put in. The PC version is famous for this ability, which lead to the manufacturer actually adding the capability to the Xbox and Playstation versions. So you money isn’t lost once you finish the core and add-on content game.

With MODs it is definitely replayable. My first introduction was to Fallout 3 which I thoroughly enjoyed. Had the Game of the Year version of that one. Now we have Fallout 4 that is set in the Boston Area. They have added new elements in that you have settlements that you can build in and populate.

Personally, I would get lost in there building and stuff. Really lets you get creative. It is that big and with a lot to do. There are plenty of side quests and I think I opened up 4 Settlements there. Although I don’t recommend cheating the game, you can go in and make a change that will allow you to build to your hearts content as long as you have the materials. Although I don’t recommend cheating the game, you can go in and make a change that will allow you to build to your hearts content as long as you have the materials. There is a good story and of course Liberty Prime from FO 3 is back and you have to get that working, if you work for the Brotherhood of steel There are multiple factions that you can go with.

Very long and entertaining gameplay. This thing will keep you busy for days with just the main questline alone, and after that theirs endless sidequests, and DLCs to play through. Always been a big fan or fallout because of the lore behind it, and all the people you talk too, and stories you get too experience.

Fallout four doesn’t disappoint. That being said their are some extreamly annoying parts Or the repetitive combat dialogue. And power armor being so easy to attain made the game super easy.

They literally give you a set on the first real quest chain, but at least until you find a few fusion cores you can’t use it full time. Anyway, if your looking for a heck of a post-apocalyptic gaming experience, with tons of interesting places to go, and things too do, this is your game. I have no complaints about the game.

But I regret my choice to buy a physical copy. And in my case, they forgot to include an activation code – making it effectively useless. But the whole experience was a waste of time. This was a learning experience for me. I’m so glad I waited to get this deal. I have fallen heels over head for this game and all its lore. I absolutely recommend it. For Nuka-World, take Preston. For Far Harbor, take Nick.

For Mechanist, take the affiliated companion and your Silver Shroud costume for the very end of it, trust me!! They’re the only ones with new lines for those DLC. If you read no others please listen to me – just buy the game on steam. The game disk does not in fact contain the game but more or less only has the software, the rest you need a separate access code for steam to even install Fallout 4, so no matter what you do you have to run it through steam anyway.

The description promises this access code coming with inside the case but was nowhere to be found for us. There are other reviews also saying Bethesda somehow forgot to add the access code in their packages.

Bethesda has always been a joke in the gaming community for their inability to make functioning games, I suppose I never considered that they have taken incompetence as a mission statement that extends to all aspects of company operations. I don’t mean to sound angry and bitter, it’s just really not worth it. My little brother who this game was a gift for was so excited to play it just to run into all this trouble.

I’m returning it for a refund and just buying Fallout 4 on steam and getting it cheaper anyway because of the winter sale.

This is a great game from start to finish. A worthy addition to the fallout canon. You can waste hours building your character and settlements and there are a multitude of ways to play the game. Graphics demands were noticeable, meaning a fairly up to date system is required even after turning all the effects down to minimum. Once into the lands proper, I moved down into the first town having picked up my trusty canine companion. Movement through the buildings was again hampered by the glide movement, but eventually I ended up with the beaten up power armour. There the story stopped. Trying all sorts of different strategies, the Deathclaw yes at just a few hours in – a Deathclaw , repeatedly chewed me up and spat me out to the point I have removed the shortcut from my desktop and will probably look at Fallout 4 being the first thing to remove if I need disc space.

Report abuse. Fallout 4 GOTY is a great single player open world game set in a post nuclear war future. Mostly first person shooter but with plenty strategy, a good story and lots of side quests. It starts off quite difficult until you find some decent weapons and armour. Using a freeze-gun while your game-companion character uses a flame thrower is just great fun.

Also rocket launcher, shotgun with exploding shells, mini nukes, gauss rifle, sniper rifle, laser rifle, minigun, pistols, swords, axe, knives, grenades, artillary, mines.

And a great array of enemies and creatures to shoot them at. High replayability, mod support, well balanced. I’m still starting new games to try player made mods years after release.
