I liked how they offered to use another drive when upgrading to 10 if system drive had not enough space. This way you would not have to download the data again if something goes wrong. Just becareful and do a backup before you install the update. I switched back to Windows 7. Although I successfully installed the new anniversary update, but after installing it the PC felt slow, and my webcam software kept crashing — thought a fresh installation would help, but no. I was using Win10 just fine, then installed the Anniversary update and a few things stopped working; tried a fresh installation of Win10 with the latest uodates, but still the same problem.
