Microsoft expects people to put hours into sorting out these bugs. How about publish a solution or create a fix-it. I work in IT and am telling everyone to stay away from Office. The only way to get Outlook to load is to either reboot the machine or “Log Off” and “Log On” again and then enter Outlook I’ve tried all of the suggestions people have posted such as resetting the Navigation Pane, Deleting Profiles, Recreating Profiles and like all other users still have this issue.
The issue is very much intermittent and it can go days without happening but when it does, it is very annoying. When you have the problem with Outlook hanging up while opening, check if you have multiple instances of the outlook. If you find multiple processes, in the task manager under the process tab, end those processes and then try to open Outlook.
