I can still use elements 6, so its not a major big issue, but I feel that the newer one is more stable. There issues with connecting, abode seems to have cut me off, so the program won’t connect anymore with abode, or I would merely go there and select upgrade program. I do have a serial number. I did buy the program, I am not sure what improvements if any have been made.

Paper and binding good quality, so the book lays open conveniently–no fighting to keep pages open while you use it as a reference! Covers all or at least most bases well, with clearly-stated directions. Very concise and easy to follow. This books covers just about everything. But, at times, it leaves the solution just out of reach. Photoshop Elements is sold on a perpetual license, so if you have a copy you can use it as long as like.
Bear in mind that Elements 6 is very old software, not designed for Windows The current version Elements is designed to work on Windows 10 and is supported by Adobe. Photoshop Elements 5, although it will install, will not run properly on Windows Windows 7 was the last MS operating system that would run it properly. You would be wise to purchase the latest version: Photoshop Elements Photoshop is the industry standard tool that can tackle everything from photo editing and graphic design to animation and digital painting.
Make sure you have a very strong internet connection while downloading. Try downloading the trial again in a couple weeks and see if you get the same results. Technology is simply changing SO fast that software companies are having a hard time keeping up.

Hi Jen, I have a question. We spend part of the year in Ohio, and part of the year in sunny Florida. I scrap in both places so have two computers. I am assuming I could not do that if I purchased the new version to download from Adobe. I really need to upgrade my Florida version as it is the version. I have in Ohio. Great question, Karen. A purchased serial number can be used to activate two copies of PSE Use that number to activate the program on both of your computers.

I did a trail version, but the issue was they did not give me any discount for having photoshop elements. So, I tired to download the trail again, having checked I own a previous version, but it won’t let me. I am not sure what is wrong. Maybe its because I used windows 7. I don’t want to get into having to pay monthly, I would rather pay for one program, as I have a video editing program and there are all these other programs that I don’t want and don’t know how to use, and I don’t want to learn them either.
I only do simple photo editing. I am not sure of the price, it seems to change all the time. And there is no email support. Or maybe just wait until the next version. I had downloaded the trials for Affinity and Pixelmator. They seem like good apps, but I am so used to PSE. I am very happy that I can use at least the version on my M1 iMac.

I am unable to put the version of PSE on it because it is too old. I tried downloading PSE as a trial version, just for the heck of it, and it came up as an error report. Do you have any answers to this? In the mean time, I am exploring other options, but I hate to have to spend a lot of time learning a new application. Thanks, Jenn for all you do to keep us informed.
