Its been almost a year since this issue has been brought forward June 12th and it still seems that it hasn’t been resolved. I don’t understand why Autodesk doesn’t just disable this feature until properly fixed.
I have created two simple parts and neither of them can be exported. The first is a 50 x 50 x 50 cube and the second a revolved part. I found a previous discussion regarding this matter which was solved, seems like it was “unsolved” in the version:. Inventor fails to create a 3D PDF for some assemblies and weldments. As I mentioned I have just downloaded and installednot made any changes to settings etc. I am using the Standard mm. Does your 3D PDF work for revolved sections as well?
See attached for a shaft that I tried to export. That is so annoying, I have tried using the other templates, but get the same error code. Thank you for trying though. Dunno how to fix that? I have recently formatted my laptop and re-installed all drivers etc. All my updates are up to date. I have tried using your part and template, when exporting now the error code is much shorter:. We do have unresolved issues with 3D PDF in certain cases but it should not fail like this.
The geometry looks straight forward and Michael could not reproduce it. Could you check something real quick?

Basically just installed the new version. Created a model and tried to export as a 3D PDF. Was one of the autodesk inventor 2018 3d pdf free things I tried. Just tried your sample part template and this is the error code I get:. Yours: Mike’s. I am getting the same behaviors on as Mike. I cannot reproduce the failure using the default template.
The template you are using seems to be corrupted. That is strange, because I have tried Mikes templates and I still get problems. With Mikes template the error is much shorter though.
