Once you start with them then every three years they deliberately disable your ability to download data from your bank until you pay to upgrade whether you want to or not.

I also just had a very scary experience and I hope my data has not been corrupted. They have NO tech support on weekends. We did not need a new version but were forced to in order to continue to import downloaded bank data. They do everything to prevent you from contacting a person and then hang up on you while you are waiting. TLDR: If you are not prepared to give Intuit your personal information, this software is literally unusable. I did not want my information online so I did not want the online version. After installing the software and attempting to add a new company, I received a message that “Quickbooks has reached the maximum number of unregistered uses. So I disconnected my desktop from the Internet and tried again.

This time it gave me a screen that stated that I needed to call a phone number to get a “validation code”. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes for his supervisor, he came back on the line to tell me that the supervisor is still “busy”.

I asked him for a refund. He said I would have to get it from Amazon. He had asked me for my license number and where I bought it before I decided he was asking too many questions.

I’ve used Quickbooks in the past but it’s been 10 plus years so I wasn’t sure what to expect as quite a few reviews spoke poorly of it. So far, so good! I won’t be truly using it in full force until after the first of the year but as far as the setup goes it seems great, just like I remember. If after I start using it in full I find glitches or problems I’ll update my review.

When you have multiple PC’s then you must pay for new versions on all of your pc’s. Never used to be this way way back when Been using since Once you’re sucked in they know it and now you are a hostage.

This is the main reason I can’t stand large corporations I love the rush from intuit’s robot cookie cutter comments “we’re sorry for what you are experiencing” BS you are!!

Like what? Improvements to intuit’s financials from small business owners. Look at other basic accounting software and shop for an independent payroll company.
