Shadow Dancer PC Game – Free Download Full Version
Since then the sequel has crept into the arcade and before we’ve had chance to sample the real thing, the conversion has been released. Shadow Dancer is in many ways very similar to its predecessor. A group of terrorists in the centre of a violent city are committing a series of horrific crimes. The worst of these is the planting of time bombs throughout the busy metropolis.
These lethal explosives are to blow simultaneously in a set period of time. As you play the part of the young Ninja, it’s your responsibility to round up the bombs and annihilate the syndicate that planted them in the first place.
This time, though, you’re not alone in the quest. Your faithful pet dog will follow you throughout each level and assist you in fighting off the many terrorists, Ninjas and marksmen that lie in wait.
Being a ruthless Ninja, you have several ways of trashing the enemy. Your main weapon is an endless supply of throwing stars that can be dispatched very speedily.
If the enemy strays too close though, you won’t have time to throw a weapon, so you’ll have to rely on a quick flick of your trusty blade. Your ultimate weapon is Ninja magic that literally wipes out everything on the visible screen, excluding you and your dog.
Be careful when using this though as supply is very limited. The Ninja magic comes in many various forms including the hurricane which twirls around the level drawing up any of the bad guys into its centre.
If the player successfully completes a bonus round, he will be awarded with an extra life. The play mechanics of Shadow Dancer are not much different from the arcade version of the original Shinobi. Like its predecessors, the controls of an eight-way joystick and three buttons attack, jump, and “ninja magic” and almost all of the player’s moves from the original Shinobi are presenthere as well. The biggest change to the play mechanic is the addition of a canine companion that follows the player around.
When the dog barkstowards an enemy, the player can sic the dog on the enemy by pressing the attack button while crouching, allowing the player an opportunity to attack the enemy while he’s being bitten by the dog. However, if the player takes too long to attack the bitten enemy or the enemy has a strong defense, then the dog will be hurt and he will turn into a harmless pup and will remain in that form until the player gets his next time bomb or finishes the stage.
In Round 5’s Rooms 4 and 5, try not to use Ninja Magic until the nasty crowd of ninjas shows up just before you reach the exit. The graphics, too, don’t quite have the overall pizzazz of the original. Most of the backgrounds don’t jump out at you like Revenge’s did.
And taken as a whole the U. On the plus side, this tough game puts up a good fight. The dog is a great ally. Some of the bosses look sharp and they’ll make you work, too. The sounds are right on. The bonus stages are fast-paced, fun games within a game. If hack-n-slash ninja action jacks you up, go for either Revenge of Shinobi or Strider first and then put the moves on Dancer. Shinobi masters, however, must try this game.
Even though the sequel doesn’t rise above the original, Joe knows ninjas. The latest chapter in the Shinobi family. This time a race of power-mad ninjas are in New York ready to take on the world! This time, Joe is not alone as he now has his faithful canine, Yamato. Many years have passed and evil has once more returned to the world.
Shinobi has returned in this sequel to the original cart to rid the world of these evil forces once and for all! This time, he’s not alone, however. His faithful dog has accompanied him to help Shinobi ice the bad guys. The dog is virtually invincible, but will shrink to a puppy for a short while when hit. Don’t underestimate him, though! Shinobi adt it’s best! Although swamped by the influx of Genesis carts, this game is a treat not be overlooked.
The graphics are well drawn and animated, and the music is excellent. The only drawback to this cart is the lack of the different ninja magic I loved in Revenge of Shinobi.
This soft is a sleeper. Considering all the great ‘big name’ carts out there you might miss this game, but don’t! Plenty of action, power-ups and very good animation. A lot of different moves to learn, and that is good for this kind of game. Good player control. An excellent sequel to Revenge of Shinobi that helps fill the blank in the Genesis action category. Outstanding graphics and superb audio. The game play is very good with many techniques to master, but is set a bit too easy.
I just wish the last boss would get out of his chair. The first thing that captured my attention in Shadow Dancer was the brilliant graphics.

The dog does not appear during boss battles. The player’s weapons consists of an unlimited supply of shurikens and a sword which is used when adjacent to an enemy. When the player collects half of the time bombs in each stage, stronger weapons are granted until the player finishes the stage or loses a life. The player can also use from one of three random ninjutsu techniques called “Ninja Magic” in the game that will clear the entire screen of enemies.
Normally, these techniques can only be used once per stage, but if the player continues the game after getting a Game Over by inserting another credit, the protagonist will restart the stage with two units instead of one.
Bonus points are awarded if the player completes the game without using shurikens or ninjutsu. There are four different missions, consisting of three stages for the first mission and four stages each for the remaining three. In the first few stages of each mission, the player must collect a certain amount of time bombs scattered throughout the stage in order to proceed to the goal.
The final stage in each mission is a confrontation between the player and the boss. Between missions, the player will participate in a bonus stage where from the character’s perspective an army of ninjas dropping down from a building must be shot down.
The player is awarded an extra life if he successfully complete these bonus stages. Reviewer: zahidur59 – favorite favorite favorite favorite favorite – March 21, Subject: Grown up paying this game on arcade in 90z. He’s easy to control, too.
Simply hold down B till an onscreen dog icon flashes then release it; your woofer puts the bite on your enemies till you waste them or they beat him up. When that happens your pooch becomes a helpless pup, literally shrinking onscreen. Shadow Dancer’s a good sequel, but it suffers in comparison to Revenge of Shinobi. The regular enemies are deadly, but they don’t have the wicked moves of some of Revenge’s bad guys.
Also there are hardly any obstacles or traps to challenge your jumping skills. And unlike Revenge with its tricky maze at the end, Shadow’s conclusion features five rooms that are strictly linear. In Round 5’s Room 2, when you lace three on more Spinning Warriors, stay back and let them spin together. Three become one.
