Like Amazon and Tidal, Apple Music also now has immersive audio tracks — this time through Apple’s proprietary Dolby Atmos-powered Spatial Audio format, designed to provide “multidimensional sound and clarity”; to deliver surround sound and 3D audio via your headphones.
The HomePod also supports Spatial Audio, so you can fill your room with virtual 3D sound from a single device. Another short answer: Deezer, Spotify and YouTube Music are yet to offer or even promise to offer hi-res audio.
We know that Spotify is set to launch its long-awaited and seemingly delayed ‘HiFi’ tier which was promised by the end of but never materialised at some point, but it remains to be seen whether hi-res will be on the menu at launch or whether it will stick to CD quality — and if it will try to undercut the competition. So will Deezer which offers CD-quality or YouTube Music which maxes out at kbps within its paid-for tier ever go hi-res?
Alexander Holland, chief content and strategy officer at Deezer, offered some choice words on this last year: “Our goal is to make sure that Deezer brings value to both artists and music fans. We would never want to stand in the way of that. Ultimately, the delicate balance of budget and device compatibility within your home will determine which service you opt for.

For classical and, from what I have read, for jazz Qobuz seems much better than any of the other options although, to be fair, I have not tried Apple Music for a long time due to the lack of any hi-res files, which I understand is shortly to change.

Why not spend a little bit of time experimenting with some free software to find out if it makes a difference to him or not? I had been puzzled by the difference between JRiver and Musicbee. If I play exactly the same track, JRiver sound warmer, fuller but lacks detail. Musicbee sounds more transparent but a bit lean. One day I asked somebody to swap the players on me in a unsighted test.
I was totally unable to tell them apart. Indeed, that is what happens if you switch from listening with your eyes to listening with your ears only. It removes one’s cognitions out of the equation. I did some listening yesterday after installing FPro. The enhancement of depth and the resolution of the complex layering of large-scale orchestral music came off stunning with Fidelizer.

Very nice upgrade from earlier version. Sounds better than my LP playback now. I received your product, installed it and everything worked fine. I use it on a small Zotac nano — actually the first one they put out about five years ago. Fidelizer 7 is fantastic. I am there now, 7 was the last missing piece. I love the sound of it so much I do not want to be without it. Im using an intel pentium dual core PC E small media center PC with spotify premium as the media library.

Bravo Keetakawee! Fidelizer software is simply awesome for me — I nearly gave up on PC as a source, but now I am getting really close to my CD player — the sound is certainly more spaced out and softer, much less of that digital glare, with a bit of tweaking though…. The sound image is no longer so flat and more spatial and detailed. Sounds terrific on Windows 10 with HQ Player. Well, it works perfectly well. Instantly more transparent sound, clearer vocals.

I am very happy with Fidelizer Pro. It greatly improves the dynamic, transparency and details of my sound system. Much thanks the Programm work and it s absolutely grest!! So much Details! Fidelizer Pro and AO3 together turned my little music server into a true …. I managed to get the program installed before I left for work. It sounds really good…smooth and musical. The sound quality improvement is more than subtle. I think it is the best sound I ever heard with my Audio setting. Very clear background and close to perfect image I assume there is no perfect with Audio since every new technique comes. Especially, when I listen big scale symphony like Mahler Symp….
