Do NOT let the support agent tell you to come to the forums for help AND when you finally do have a download link, be sure to copy every file you download to an external drive or 2 or 3 so you never have to hunt for download links if they are moved again Can Adobe stop messing around with Creative Cloud Customers and those with a paid Retail version of these programs – ie why on earth do we need to go through the pain of contacting an Agent to download something that we have paid for?.
Yes – to repeat again – we all understand no support is given beyond our ability to download it – but if you have a need to re-image your Video Editing PC as I have just done, I can’t get the very last updates for either CS6 or Encore.
As a reminder – if you did allow access to these links you would a not waste customer’s time – or b waste time of an Agent repeating the process every time. Freeing up Agent queues and keeping customers happy!.
I am currently in the same position that JonesVid was in back in October. With re-installing CS6, I learn that the Application manager does not update all apps to their final revision and that not all of the updates are available for download specifically Premiere Pro.
This attitude is certainly not serving the customer one who has 31 programs purchased and registered with Adobe over the years! And to top it off, Adobe claims my case is “resolved” under support history. I don’t see any threads at the moment, but we have reports that the update process John points to was still working recently. Open PR. Under Help, pick “updates.
It checks for updates. I know this was working last week. My CS6 installs showed as “up to date. That is not good. But check this: when you pick updates, and, I assume you now get a message that “Your applications are all up-to-date as checked I wonder if you can force anything by deselecting all but PR?

I tried your idea of unchecking all apps except for Premiere and clicking updates again, but it makes no difference. Premiere is still version 6. And yes, Encore did update to version 6.
As best as I can tell, all my programs have been updated to their final released versions except for Premiere. I understand that Premiere had five undates that included several bug fixes. I am really hoping that I can somehow get the 6. Basically in my mind what Adobe have done is questionable, but you will waste your time fighting it.
If you have paid for a valid licence for CS6 back in those dark days – then it does not matter at all that it is now out of Support I agree with Adobe they cannot give active support on the Software now as it is end of life, but does that also include the right to remove valid updates download?
The world of legally licencing software, its use and download rights is a nightmare so don’t even go there. Updates 6. I strongly request Adobe make these valid small update links available again just for download to customers with a Full CS6 licence though – is that possible?
On download a customer just ticks a box to acknowledge and accept that there is no Adobe support on that Software update other than downloading it. Maybe they are asked to enter their licence before releasing it.. Seems sensible doesn’t it?. I even tried installing CS6 in a seperate Windows Partition all on its own without Creative Cloud and I could not get the Updates function to work on that.
So what Stan suggests below that it will update via the internal Updates mechanism is questionable, but again I might be wrong. The Premiere CS6 version is still at 6. I would suggest you send a request to Adobe Customer Support asking for those 4 Links – they still exist, but there may be legal implications if I post these here?. We don’t really need this sort of disruption that Adobe have caused valid fee paying customers who bought Premiere CS6 with a ‘Perpetual Software Licence’ several years back.
Unfortunately the word ‘Perpetual’ however, can have a ‘grey meaning’ for the legal world and don’t recall any warning on the DVD packaging that said it might end I’m sure it’s there in the small print though, you know, the stuff so small you can’t read it. As several people have mentioned in this thread as well as in related conversations, there appears to be no way to get the Premiere Pro CS6 final updates 6. I will have to live with Premiere Pro 6. At least all my other CS6 Production Premium apps have their “final” versions.
I do find it odd and curious why Adobe allowed for all of my other CS6 apps, except for Premiere Pro, to properly update to their final versions by using the Help.. Update and related Application Manager feature.

Yes, my CS6 did update per the mechanism you describe and it also shows as “up to date” for all applications. However, I compared each application’s revision shown in Help. About to the final released update shown on each Application’s individual download update page. All my Apps are the “final” version, except for Premiere Pro. It should be 6.
When it did update via the Application Manager, there were updates listed under Premiere Pro for some components like Media Encoder , but it appears that this update did not include the application itself.
Thanks for reporting. Yes, the final Windows at least version was 6. If you plan to use it, the final Encore version was 6. Did Encore update?

Dear all on this topic This is horrible – I feel for you as I wasted hours on Adobe Support chat lines on this subject. The only way I found to solve this is to physically get the 6. At least you can get Encore to 6. This CS6 mess does leave a bad impression on current and potentially future customers.
